30 July, KATHMANDU : Bangladesh reported 15,271 new COVID-19 cases and 239 new deaths on Thursday, making the tally at 12,26,253 and death toll at 20,255, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
The official data showed that 52,282 samples were tested in the last 24 hours as of 8:00 a.m. local time Thursday across Bangladesh.
The total number of recovered patients in the country stood at 10,50,220, including 14,336 new recoveries on Thursday, said the DGHS.
According to the official data, the COVID-19 fatality rate in Bangladesh is now 1.65 percent and the current recovery rate is 85.64 percent.
Bangladesh recorded the highest daily new cases of 16,230 on July 28 and the highest number of deaths of 258 on July 27.
